Fieldfolio Reports is a reporting engine I built for the Fieldfolio platform. It lets users put together ad-hoc reports across a number of different dimensions, with filtering, searching, sorting, grouping and exporting of the data. It also handles multiple currencies and pagination, so it copes with large amounts of data.
It originally had some graphs built in too, though in the end the client decided not to release those. The bulk of the work was done in late 2025, and Fieldfolio Reports launched in early 2026.
Earlier in the year I also rebuilt Fieldfolio’s subscription billing onto a new three-tier recurring pricing model, using Stripe.
I led this work as the lead developer and architect, with a developer on my team helping on the build. Fieldfolio Reports itself is mostly Ruby on Rails and MySQL on the backend, with React on the frontend.
