LinkAssist was a project that I developed with one of my design agency clients. I worked as the front-end developer, doing all of the front-end coding while working closely alongside their in-house developer who was building the backend.
LinkAssist is written using Ruby on Rails, and as the front-end developer I worked with SASS, CoffeeScript, ERB and Ruby – implementing a design provided by a third-party design agency. It’s designed for people with disabilities, so the front-end required special consideration to make features and content as accessible as possible.
The site uses the Bootstrap framework, particularly the grid, so it could be built responsively – targeting multiple screen resolutions, including mobile devices.
